Teachers are the heart of the classroom, no matter where it’s located
Since 2016, we’ve empowered pioneering educators with grant funding through the Innovative Educator Prize that enables them to bring programs and tools into the classroom to transform the learning experience.
When the pandemic hit, FoS saw an immediate need to step in and help individual teachers. As such, we initiated a program in March to give $150 awards to K–12 educators who were nominated by their peers for going above and beyond in an already difficult situation. The goal of the award is to help teachers solve for professional and personal challenges created by the pandemic related to teaching and learning.
Through these two programs, we’ve impacted nearly 90,000 teachers across the nation.
Future of School is transitioning from its founding as a private foundation called the Foundation for Blended and Online Learning (FBOL) to a public charity, Future of School. Until we complete the IRS transition, all charitable cash donations are deductible at up to 30 percent of the taxpayer’s adjusted gross income (AGI).
