Currently, students have shown typical growth and enter 2-3 grade levels behind. We will implement professional development and new online programs to shift mindsets and practices to reach Growth Percentiles above typical norms. To achieve this, we propose to improve personalization and student ownership by using Lexia Core 5 and Achieve aligned with curriculum infusing growth mindset lessons. This will provide students and teachers tools to achieve SGPs of 70 or higher. The first upgrade promotes student ownership via instructional technology where students monitor learning. This requires students to articulate skills to meet goals using the MAP learning continuum.

The professional development will align small group and online lessons. The school-wide inconsistencies with Language Arts curriculum challenged our ability to provide professional development addressing our gaps. We need new content and resources that promotes a student-driven culture of learning to our blended learning.
